Natalie and I went down to Somerset to visit a friend. It was pretty awesome. On Sunday we went to Cheddar which is a fucking weird town; if Disney got hold of a town from South-West England I’m fairly sure it’d look a lot like this. We’d gone to have a look at the caves, but they were charging £15 for entry, which was a total rip off. Then again they wanted to charge £4 to go on the public footpath and up the tower in the comic. We went along the footpath to the tower and went up it anyway.

I have really bad memories of bowling as a kid, I think largely because I was fucking useless at it, and my sister was pretty good at it. The first game I lost to everyone, but the second game I actually managed to knock the pins dead. Nat wasn’t bad either though had the most bizarre bowling technique I’ve ever seen. None of the friends we were with had a clue how she was getting to ball to magically curl out of the gutter into the pins.

A comics and zine event is happening in the heart of London on Saturday 19th July. From 11am to 7pm zines and comics are being brought together at The Plough, 27 Museum Street, London. Its right next door to the Cartoon Museum and promises to be a pretty amazing day with some of the confirmed attendees being Hey Monkey Riot, Gavin Burrows, Lizz Lunney, Chris Getliffe, Peter Lally and a whole load more (full list is here)

It’s actually come off hiatus, I’ve just kept this one up for the moment because I am watching way too much of The Wire and not updating this quickly enough. So I didn’t do as well as I hoped. I’ve decided I don’t care, especially when I was told the daily comic was a ‘worthy endeavour’ but not really worth anything by my examiner. Anyhow, I now get to rest for a couple of weeks before real life kicks in…
